Little Monster Cosplays is a disabled cosplayer, creator and streamer who has been part of the Australian cosplay community for over 11 years. Since attending her first Oz Comic-Con in 2016 as Ariel from The Little Mermaid – complete with a handmade mermaid tail and wheelchair-integrated design – she has become known for her creativity, craftsmanship and advocacy for accessibility in cosplay. She frequently incorporates mobility aids into her costumes, transforming them into striking extensions of her characters, such as her fan-favourite Poison Ivy build featuring giant leaf props and vine-covered wheelchair elements.
Over the past decade, Little Monster Cosplays has developed skills across costume construction, wig styling, prop making, makeup artistry and, more recently, 3D printing. Her recent builds include Pike from Critical Role’s Vox Machina, which showcased detailed sewing, large-scale printed props, SFX makeup and styled wigs. Alongside crafting, she has also become an experienced panel host, cosplay competitor, convention guest and community advocate, using her platform to challenge perceptions around disability and creativity within the cosplay space.
At the heart of her cosplay journey is the belief that cosplay is truly for everyone and every body. Through heartfelt interactions with fellow fans – including disabled attendees who felt inspired to start cosplaying after seeing her work – she has seen firsthand the impact visibility and representation can have within the community. Little Monster Cosplays hopes to continue encouraging others to pursue the characters and stories they love, while proving that accessibility and creativity can go hand in hand.
