– The Oz Comic-Con Championships of Cosplay is the largest cosplay contest in Australia! Taking place from West Coast to East Coast as the top cosplayers from six states battle it out to be named their states Champion of Cosplay! The State winners of the Championships of Cosplay will receive a cash prize of $1500, amongst other things! Join us for what is sure to be a fun-filled competition celebrating the talent, skill and determination of the best Cosplayers in Australia!

– Tom Foolery Cosplay and Gray Skies Cosplay, present years of experience in printing designing and building cosplays and now how in the last 12 months they have built over 12 life size motorised robots and props (droids, K2SO and R2D2) and more. What we learnt and what we wish we would do different. And they crazy adventures and friends along the way.
11:00AM	THE ART OF THE COSPLAY BUILD BOOK
– Want to showcase your craftsmanship like a pro? Join Edo Cosplay for a guide to creating a cosplay build book, from documenting your process and materials to presenting your work effectively for competitions. Learn how to tell the story behind your build and highlight the skills that brought it to life.
12:00PM	FROM SUPLEXES TO SPANDEX: MAKING WRESTLING COSPLAYS WITH JUSZ COSPLAY
– Step into the ring and learn what it takes to create cosplays of your favourite wrestlers! Join JusZ Cosplay for a look at crafting iconic main event-worthy looks with tips on materials, design and the little details that help bring wrestling personas to life.
1:00PM	WINGS IN COSPLAY – A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
– Dreaming of adding wings to your cosplay? Join Miss Twister for an introduction to the wonderful world of cosplay wings! From simple rigid and fairy wings to arm wings, articulating designs, and more advanced builds, this panel covers the basics and beyond to help your next cosplay take flight.
2:00PM	WIGGING OUT
– I am challenging my panellists to style very difficult wigs, these wigs will have either been, knotted, frizzed up, tangled, dyed or a bit ripped. Panellists will work in teams of two to try and style their wigs to the best of their abilities UNLESS various disadvantages get in the way or their opposing team tries to stop them. This panel will make our guest come up with fast and various ways to style their wigs before time runs out, winners will be crowned Wigging Out Style champions!
3:00PM	MAKING IT UP
– This panel is talking all things MAKE UP! Makeup can elevate a cosplay and is an amazing way to bring your own style and flair to your favourite characters. Whether you new and starting out, or a seasoned pro you’ll learn from some amazingly talented professional and self taught makeup artists. From things like SFX, accurate makeup, changing your features like a chameleon or bringing a little of your own personal touch all makeup is valid and can be a fun way to bring a character to life!
4:00PM	MAGIC WITH CONSEQUENCES
– Great power comes with great responsibility, and all magic comes at a cost. Discover how our authors design systems and worlds that cost the protagonist, keeping them vulnerable and readers in suspense to the end.

10:00AM	WHY ARE YOU DRESSED LIKE THAT?
– Every cosplayer has been asked at least once in their journey “Why are you dressed like that?” By a member of the public. Join our panel for dramatic readings of stories submitted by the community of the weird, wonderful, heartwarming or straight up absurd interactions they have had with members of the public while dressed in cosplay.
11:00AM	AGING IN COSPLAY
– The reality is, we’re all getting older, and as cosplayers, we have a front-row seat to how time changes our faces, bodies, and confidence. In this panel, we’ll dive into the unique challenges (and joys!) of cosplaying through our 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond. From comparing photos and noticing those fine lines deepen, to debating Botox, to being told by those young whippersnappers on the internet with their rizzing and skibidi toilets, that we’re “too old to cosplay”, our panel of seasoned cosplayers will talk candidly about it all.
12:00PM	CHRONICALLY COSPLAYING
– Chronically iconic cosplayers talking all things cosplay, creation and conventions whilst living with Chronic Illnesses and Disabilities. Delving into our experiences as cosplayers, photographers and creatives within the cosplay space and how things can be improved.
1:00PM	PUTTING THE U IN COSTUME
– Putting the U in Costume is a panel about personalisation in cosplay. In a world of perfectionism and accuracy, a group of cosplayers share their experiences with adding their own personal flares to their cosplays. Whether it be for comfort, accessibility, or self expression and preferences!! And hope to inspire the same!!
2:00PM	FROM FANTASY TO REALITY: COSPLAYING ORIGINAL FANTASY DESIGNS
– What is cosplay if not continuing our childhood games of dress up? While usually we are building from existing media, sometimes we want to go back to those imagined worlds. Bringing knights and princesses, faeries and monsters, witches and mermaids to life; but where do you start? Our panelists will discuss their process for realising fantastical designs, from conception all the way to creation. Covering solidifying ideas, choosing materials, and even friends and photoshoots, join us as we discuss the joy of creating something that is entirely yours.
3:00PM	COSPLAY IS FOR EVERYBODY
– This will be a decision of body positivity within the cosplay community. Discussing what it is like to not fit the social standard of a cosplayer and the harm it have on the community with trying to force those standards on to someone. This panel with also provide ways to build confidence and it’s to promote that any body can cosplay.
4:00PM	WRITING FOR KIDS
– What makes a story resonate with young readers? Join George Ivanoff and Rene Pfitzner for a discussion on writing for kids, from creating memorable characters and exciting adventures to understanding what captures the imagination of younger audiences.

– Phasers or sonic screwdrivers? Federation or Time Lords? Test your knowledge of two of sci-fi’s greatest franchises in this fast-paced trivia showdown! Join the Doctor Who Club of Victoria and the USS Southern Cross for the ultimate battle of the galaxies and see which fandom comes out on top.
11:00AM	WRITING DYSTOPIA IN A DYSTOPIA
– Remember when dystopian fiction felt far-fetched? Neither do we. Join Luke Arnold and T.R. Napper for a discussion on crafting bleak futures, cyberpunk nightmares, and cautionary tales in an era where reality often feels stranger than fiction.
12:00PM	THE ULTIMATE SCI-FI MOVIE DEBATE
– From mind-bending time travel to distant galaxies and dystopian futures, science fiction has given us some of the most imaginative and unforgettable films ever made. But which one truly deserves the title of the greatest sci-fi movie of all time? Join Meg and Caleb as they go head-to-head in a bracket-style showdown, passionately defending their picks in a battle of logic, lasers, and questionable scientific accuracy. After each round, the crowd decides which films advance—until only one remains standing. Expect bold claims, heated arguments, and plenty of interstellar chaos along the way.
1:00PM	WHY DO YOU KNOW THAT?
– Have you ever been asked why you know a weird fact or niche reference? Ever added more facts to someone elses hyperfixation rant? Have you or a loved one ever lost a night of sleep looking up lore of your new favourite show /game /movie? Then this is the panel you need to make time for. We are placing 6 of your favourite Aussie creators up on stage in a head to head battle to find out what streamers really know about stuff. As well as what other stuff they can tell us about the questions they are answering. So don’t miss out as seating is limited to find out “why do you know that?”
2:00PM	MORALLY GREY CHARACTERS
– The characters you love to hate. An enlightening conversation on how authors craft engagingly morally grey characters as well as anti-heroes and sympathetic villains with Ellie Marney, Devin Madson & TR Napper.
3:00PM	QUEERNESS THROUGH COSPLAY
– A panel discussing gender, queer expression, personal experiences and motivation within the cosplay community. Featuring a panel of 5 queer cosplayers with varying degrees of cosplay experiences.
4:00PM	I CAN BE A JEDI TOO – STAGE COMBAT AND HOW TO SAFELY CHOREOGRAPH A FIGHT SEQUENCE
– We are a long standing amateur fight choreography group based in Melbourne, Victoria, inspired by the Star Wars franchise. Since 2017, we have enjoyed performing at grass roots comic conventions and midnight theatrical releases. The hobby blends exercise and fantasy in a unique fashion and continues to gain momentum around the world. Given the universal appeal of the lightsaber, the intention of the panel is to provide an opportunity for Victorians to discuss, and to illustrate the fun to be had when you’re intentional about illuminated choreographed fight sequences!

– Cosplay has come a long way from convention halls to social media feeds. Join this discussion on how the hobby has evolved, the role of online platforms in shaping the community, and how cosplayers can balance creativity, connection, and content creation in the digital age.
11:00AM	READ3R’Z RE-VU PRESENTS: REPRESENTATION MATTERS
– The concept of representation in the media we consume has come to the forefront in conversation like never before. Join authors (and Read3r’z Re-Vu members) Annie McCann and George Green as they share top reading and viewing recommendations and discuss the importance of representation in TV, Film, Books, Comics and Pop Culture.
12:00PM	BUY, MAKE OR EMBELLISH: IT IS ALL COSPLAY!
– Buy, Make or Embellish: it’s all cosplay!” Will be a panel featuring cosplayers who all do different mediums of cosplay, and will be having a discussion on what goes in to each type of cosplay medium there is! Whether a cosplayer buys their cosplays, makes them from scratch or up cycles a cosplay to make it more their style, it is all cosplay and nothing should be help in a higher regard than another. We will be asking questions to the panel that are pre planned but also allowing the audience to also join in and ask their own questions!
12:45PM	KIDS COSPLAY PARADE
– The kids cosplay parade is a great way for our littlest cosplayers to get into the cosplay spirit! Once the parade begins, kids can go on stage either on their own, in a group or for those who are either too little or too shy, with a guardian. Come and see the tiniest and cutest cosplayers all at the one event! To enter this event just head to the cosplay registration desk located at Cosplay Central before 12:00PM on Sunday and secure your spot.
1:15PM	THE WITCHY GIRLS: MAKING THE SHOW NO ONE WANTED
– When the funding bodies said no, The Witchy Girls said “no worries, we’ll do it ourselves.” Join the team behind the supernatural comedy series for a candid, deep-dive into how a project that was repeatedly knocked back became one of the most distinctive new supernatural comedies on the scene. From scrappy beginnings to a fully realised world of magic, mayhem, and micro budget miracles, the team will pull back the curtain on what it actually takes to get a passion project off the ground when no one’s handing you the keys.
2:15PM	COSPLAY JEOPARDY
– Welcome to Cosplay Jeopardy! Where our cosplayers will go head-to-head to go against questions about cosplay, whoever gets the most points wins! This panel aims to be light-hearted fun and teaches not only our contestants but the audience about general cosplay knowledge.
3:15PM	FINAL ART: A COMIC ARTIST’S PROCESS
– Dive into the world of comic art with Alex Trpcevski as he guides you through his creative process, from initial sketches to refined comic illustrations. Discover essential techniques in digital and traditional tools, master anatomy and storytelling through art, learn inking tips for dynamic compositions, and explore strategies to balance speed and quality under tight deadlines. Whether you’re a novice or seasoned artist, this workshop offers insights and practical skills to elevate your comic artistry.
